History

Today’s Hotel Residenz has been in the service of hospitality since 1752.

Over the course of generations, the Knoblauch family from Ravensburg and Alsace developed the restaurant from a tavern with a wine cellar step by step to a hotel.

The wine cellar has now been outsourced and is available for your individual wine purchases in Ravensburg.

You can find more information about the winery on the website of the Zum Muke winery.

When the married couple Huguette and Nepomuk Knoblauch retired in 2000, the university friends Klaus-Dieter Böttcher, Dietmar Eltrich and Oliver H. Späth took over the hotel in Ravensburg with 19 rooms at the time.

This was followed by an intensive phase of renovation and expansion that lasted until 2002. During this time, the hotel was expanded to include non-smoking rooms and rooms for allergy sufferers.

In the former wine tavern “Zum Muke” we now offer a daily breakfast buffet not only for our hotel guests.
